Finding your muse

Everyone that knows me know I love to paint palms. the movement of the palms creates interesting patterns of light. They also know the joy I get from spending time with my grandkids. Children have so much fun discovering the world. The other day, when babysitting on a beautiful but hot south Florida day, I decided to take my grandkids to play outside. My granddaughter was soaking wet (yes we were playing with the water hose to cool off) and I took off her shirt.  There were many magical moments but this one I was able to capture with my phone. She was thrilled to hide behind the palm frond, I was thrill by her smile and by the light that came through to cast patterns of light and darks.
This is what it must feel to have a moment with your muse.
Muses - Wikipedia
The Muses are the inspirational goddesses of literature, science, and the arts in Greek mythology. They were considered the source of the knowledge embodied in the poetry, lyric songs, and myths that were related orally for centuries in these ancient cultures. They were later adopted by the Romans as a part of their pantheon. In current English usage, "muse" can refer in general to a person who inspires an artist, musician, or writer.
A muse is someone who has such an influence on another that he or she becomes the focus and inspiration for that person's creative work.
Who is your muse?

I love painting palms (and banana leaves), too. The one with your granddaughter would make a beautiful painting!
